Questions about how ClutchPacks works
How does ClutchPacks work?
You buy a digital pack on the web or the iPhone app and one graded or authenticated card is revealed. The opening is minted as a token on Polygon and the physical card stays vaulted. You can take ClutchPacks' sell-back offer into a dollar wallet, keep the card vaulted, or ask for it to be shipped. The shipping fee is not published.
How does ClutchPacks make money?
Its own pages state: funds and cards left on a deleted account. From its published numbers: pack price above average recorded pull. Not published: sell-back discount, fee on a sell-back, shipping or retrieval fee and withdrawal fee. We do not estimate margins or what ClutchPacks pays for cards.
Where do ClutchPacks cards come from?
Its homepage FAQ says the inventory is “powered by Trace N' Chase”, which it calls the EU's largest sports card distributor. That is ClutchPacks' own description. What it pays for the cards is not published, and the FAQ gives two answers on where they are stored.
Does ClutchPacks buy every card back at 90%?
Not in writing. “Instant buyback offer of 90%” is on the eight Pokémon and One Piece pack pages we read on 7 October 2026 and on none of the sports pages. The terms say only “a percentage of the fair market value”, which ClutchPacks sets and may change or withdraw.
What happens to your balance if you close a ClutchPacks account?
The terms say any funds or cards in the account when you ask to delete it “will be transferred to us”. They make you responsible for withdrawing the wallet and shipping the cards first.
