Is it gambling, and playing safely

No ruling we can cite, and we do not say whether it is legal where you live.

  • Lastpack's terms say it “does not offer casino games, sports betting, lotteries, or wagering”. That is its own description, not a regulator's.
  • Its responsible purchasing policy calls blind boxes “legally different than gambling”, then lists two problem-gambling helplines.
  • You pay for a random result that can be turned back into money. The terms say “Items may be worth less than the Pack price.”
  • Rakeback-style free packs, daily streaks and a weekly race all reward opening more packs.
