Questions about how Rip Rush works
How does Rip Rush work?
You add funds in the app, buy a Pokémon pack and a card is revealed. For up to seven days you can return it at the value Rip Rush sets, or pay to have it shipped to a US address. After seven days Rip Rush may return it for you. Odds are shown only inside the app.
How does Rip Rush make money?
Its own pages state no revenue line we could read. Not published: pack price above average card value, sell-back discount, fee on a sell-back, shipping or retrieval fee and instant withdrawal charge. We do not estimate margins or what Rip Rush pays for cards.
Does spinning the wheel in Rip Rush change what you pull?
No, by its own terms. They say animations such as the rotating card wheel are for entertainment only and do not affect outcomes. The only inputs that count are the pack you choose, the rarity selector where it is offered, and confirming the purchase.
Do you own a Rip Rush card as soon as it is revealed?
No. The terms say no sale has occurred and title does not pass until seven conditions are met, including a shipping request, sales tax, an ID check and a carrier accepting the parcel. Before that, a lost or damaged card is made good only by crediting the value Rip Rush sets.
Does Rip Rush pay cash for a returned card?
Its terms give two answers. Section 5.5 says a return is credited as pack purchase credits. Section 6.3 says funds gained from sales of your inventory can be withdrawn, from $5, after an ID check. Nothing public settles which applies, and no percentage is stated.
