Questions about how Ripit works
How does Ripit work?
You sign up on ripit.co, pass an identity check run by Stripe and buy a pack. One graded card is allocated as the payment completes, then shown. It sits in Ripit's vault at PSA. You can keep it there, ship it, or take Ripit's offer within 24 hours; after that you can name a price.
How does Ripit make money?
Its own pages state: shipping or retrieval fee, platform and processing fees and vault storage. Not published: pack price above average card value, sell-back discount, fee on a sell-back and withdrawal fee. We do not estimate margins or what Ripit pays for cards.
Where do Ripit's cards come from?
Ripit does not say. Its help centre says the slabs are graded by PSA or another grader and stored in a vault at PSA, which also administers shipping. The terms mention “supplier issues” as a reason a pack may be paused and name no supplier.
Do you own the card you pull on Ripit?
The terms of 11 August 2026 call vault storage a bailment in which you “retain ownership of your vaulted Items”, and say a suspended account does not change that. The shipping section of the same terms says title passes when the parcel is handed to the carrier. The terms do not say how the two fit together.
Is the Ripit sweepstakes a free pack?
No. The rules last updated 1 October 2026 describe a free mail-in entry to a prize draw, for adults in the United States and Puerto Rico with a Ripit account. An entry is a chance at a prize card, not a pack. Each pack bought is also an entry; the rules say a purchase “will not increase an Entrant's chances of winning a Prize”.
