Age limits on card rip apps: 18, with exceptions
Each app's age clause in its own words, what its pages say is checked, and the age rating on its store listings. Read on 7 October 2026. Nothing was tested, and none of this is legal advice.

“You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the legal age of majority in your state of residence, if higher, to create an Account or use the Service.”
Every app's age rule, side by side
Filter by how the terms draw the line, or by the age check they write down. Apps are in rating order.
27 of 27 apps match. Tap an app for its clause and sources.
- Local: the local age of majority
- –: nothing written, or no listing
- All: rated “Everyone”
- 13+ below the app's own minimum
This describes what each operator has written. It is not legal advice and does not say what the law requires where you live. Where each app is open is on availability.
What is checked, and when
1 of 27 apps says age is confirmed at sign-up. Pick a group to read the words.
May ask for proof, 10 of 27. The terms keep the right to ask for proof of age. They do not say how often that happens.
May ask for proof of age at any time, and may close an account it believes belongs to someone under the minimum.“We may require verification of your age at any time and may suspend or terminate any Account we believe to be held or operated by a person below the applicable minimum age.”Terms of Service, section 3aNo commission
Arena Club

Lastpack

Ripit
An age check may be required before a withdrawal, a return credit or a shipment.“You may be required to complete identity, age, location, payment-method, source-of-funds, or other verification checks before requesting or receiving any withdrawal, credit from a Return, shipment, or redemption of an Item.”Terms, section 8.2No commission

Store age ratings against the terms
15 of the 27 apps have a US App Store or Google Play listing. 6 carry a rating below the app's own minimum.

- The shaded column is where the app's own pages put the line: 18. “All ages” is Google Play's “Everyone”.
“Apple generates appropriate ratings based on your answer to the age rating questionnaire.”Apple, Age ratings values and definitions
“content ratings don't tell you whether an app is designed for users of a specific age”Google Play Help, Apps & Games content ratings on Google Play
3 listings (Repackz, Fanatics Instant Rips, and DOPA) are rated “Everyone” on Google Play. A rating covers the whole listing, so for a wider app it is not a rating of the packs. Ratings are from the US stores on 7 October 2026.
Where the line sits above 18
9 apps add “or the local age if higher” and 2 give only the local age. Four clauses show how the line moves.
Underdog Rips
The Underdog app's store listing names the states. It describes the whole app, and does not say whether the same lines apply to Rips.“Must be 18+ (19+ in AL, NE; 19+ in CO for some games; 21+ in AZ, MA & VA) and present in a state where Underdog Fantasy operates.”Underdog on the App StoreNo commission
Arena Club
The higher line covers its alcohol reveals only. Card packs stay at 18 or the state's age of majority.“You must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to purchase Alcoholic Beverage Digital Reveals”Terms of Service, section 3aNo commission
Stadium Vault
No number: the line is whatever the age of majority is in the state or province you are in.“You may not use the Service unless you are at least the age of majority in the state or province from which you are accessing the Service.”Terms of Service, section 3aNo commission
Packz
The line is set where you are when you register or use the service, not where you live.“You must be over 18 years of age or the minimum legal age of majority whichever is higher in the jurisdiction in which you are located at the time of User Account registration or accessing or using the Service”Terms, section 3.1No commissionWhere a clause says “if higher”, the terms read leave the number for the reader to find. One place names states: the text-message section of Arena Club's terms puts Alabama and Nebraska at 19.
Under 18: what the terms say
2 apps write a way in through a parent, 2 rule it out, and some put it on the account holder.
The terms let someone under 18 in through a parent or guardian.
18, or younger with a parent's or guardian's permission. No lower limit is written.“If you are under 18 years of age or not legally able to enter into contracts in your place of residence, you must have the permission of your parents or legal guardians to use the Service.”Terms of service, last updated 17 July 2026No commission
DOPA
18, or 16 and 17 through a parent's or guardian's account.“If you are at least 16 years old but under 18 years old, you may only use the Platform through a parent or guardian’s account with their approval and oversight.”Terms of Use, last modified 20 July 2026No commission
Beezie
A clause that lets a minor in is the operator's own rule, not a statement that it is lawful where you live. Card packs with random contents can cost real money quickly: set a limit first.
Questions people ask
How old do you have to be to use a card rip app?
18 at every one of the 27 rated apps, by their own pages. 9 add “or the local age of majority if higher”, 2 give only the local age of majority in their terms, and 2 write a route in for someone younger through a parent. What the law requires where you live is a separate question this page does not answer.
Can someone under 18 use a rip app with a parent's permission?
The terms of Beezie and DOPA say so: DOPA with a parent's or guardian's permission, Beezie for 16 and 17 year olds through a parent's account. RipRip.io and BOXED.GG rule it out in writing. The other apps' terms give 18 or the age of majority and name no route in through a parent.
Do card rip apps check your age?
1 of 27 (BOXED.GG) says age is confirmed at sign-up. 10 keep the right to ask for proof, most “at any time”. At 15 the terms read name no age check, which is not proof that none happens. Nothing here was tested with an account.
Why is an app rated “Everyone” when its terms say 18?
A store rating describes an app's content, from answers its developer gives the store. It is not the operator's age rule. 7 listings across 6 apps (Repackz, Courtyard, Rips by Triumph, Fanatics Instant Rips, DOPA, and Crown Cards) are rated for younger than the app's own minimum. 2 of those apps (Repackz and Fanatics Instant Rips) are wider apps that the packs sit inside. The terms decide who may hold an account.
